As I'm watching others presenting their Senior Thesis, it struck me that I won't have to do that. Yesterday I got to see some of the Environmental Science seniors present their's and it was nerve-wrecking. They were so nervous that they were going to mess up or the faculty would tear them apart. Well, in the end, everyone messed up a little and had their fair share of difficult questions. Today I'm going to see one of my sorority sister's presentation. She has been freaking out about it for sometime. She says that she doesn't care now but I beg to differ. Her's is at 3pm at Straz 106 just in case you were wondering. Then tomorrow I'm going to watch more Environmental Science seniors present. This should be interesting. But like I said I got spared from doing a presentation or a defense.
I guess you can say that I'm lucky. I was in the Geography Senior Sem class last semester. At the end of the semester, we all presented on the progress of our thesis but that was it. It was some what formal but it was definitely not open to the campus. Our final draft was handed in on March 8th. We were prepared for a presentation but then we were told that the faculty (Mast, Riveria, Zorn) were going to talk with each of us individually on our work. The faculty had decided on the date back on April 1st. However, Julio forgot to send out an email telling us of the date. We found out a week before the schedualed date through Joy Mast. Since it was so close to the end of the year the faculty quickly decided to take us out to dinner instead of having the conferences. In other words, we all past our senior thesis. YEAH!!!!
I would like to talk to you about how the dinner went seeing as it was last week but I have to go support my sorority sister. Maybe I will give brief synopsis of the dinner later depending how much time I have. I still have shit load of homework to do this week. Anyway gotta go! Talk to you all later.
